New Vision Arts Festival 2014
From October 16 to November 16, the biennial New Vision Arts Festival will present an array of innovative performances showcasing the creativity of cross-boundary collaboration. Programme line-up includes not only dance productions of international focus, but also pioneering theatre work first produced by the Festival, plus a mini-festival within the Festival, exploring a new artistic frontier.

Applications invited for Hong Kong Park Arts Corner stalls
Individuals and subvented non-governmental organisations are invited to apply to operate in the new phase (Phase XV) of Arts Corner stalls at Hong Kong Park. Applications should be submitted on or before November 4 this year. Featuring 10 stalls offering handicrafts or arts services, the new phase of Arts Corner will be held at the outdoor area near the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware at Hong Kong Park from noon to 6pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from January 1 to December 31, 2015.

"Conflict and War: China and Japan, 1894-95"
To mark the 120th anniversary of the First Sino-Japanese War, an exhibition entitled "Conflict and War: China and Japan 1894-95" is now being staged at the Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence until March 11 next year. The exhibition features around 90 valuable artefacts and historical photographs, as well as battleship models, replica navy uniforms and flags of the Beiyang Fleet, allowing visitors to have a better understanding of the establishment of the Beiyang Fleet, the course of the war and its impact on the development of modern China. The transformation of Tsun Yip Street Playground Phase 1 is the first park innovation project which integrates elements of local industrial tradition and art installations. An exhibition themed The Spirit of Creation unfolds the stories of the generation that spared no efforts in constructing Hong Kong by showcasing artworks in container installations. Tempting Touch - the Art of Tong King-sum
"Tempting Touch - the Art of Tong King-sum" exhibition is now being held at the Hong Kong Museum of Art until December 31. The exhibition features 23 sets of wooden sculptures by the Hong Kong artist Tong King-sum (1940 - 2008). Whether portraying the human body or a plant, his works are filled with the harmony of nature and the beauty of form and reflect the artist's subtle yet strong inner vitality.
